Sydney Credit Union was established in 1963 to provide financial services to the employees of the City of Sydney Council employees.
Embracing mutuality
We developed a strategic direction for SCU that brought relevance back to the brand, allowing them to expand into different regions, whilst still maintaining a philosophical differentiation of 'people before profit'. Not just a slogan, 'More Generous Banking' is the essence of everything SCU offer and drives the way they behave and communicate to their staff, members and business partners.
A memorable identity
Trying to establish a place in the hearts and minds of customers whilst competing against the big banks, meant creating a simple and easy to remember identity. The Green Piggy is a memorable icon and is used mainly for SCU's retail products. It symbolises financial prudence and a responsible approach to banking. At the same time it is friendly and a little less formal.
